City of Tulsa Source Water Protection Plan

The City of Tulsa, Oklahoma faced very serious problems with its drinking water supply because of poultry waste applied in the Eucha-Spavinaw watershed in eastern Oklahoma.  When the poultry companies refused to cooperate with Tulsa, the city took them to United States Federal Court.  The result was an important settlement agreement that has resulted in removal of most poultry waste from the watershed and vastly improved water quality.  Read the 2018 report below.
