Recently a report was issued detailing the health of the Illinois Riverse aquifers. The State of Oklahoma is not proactive in protecting ground water conservation. For instance, residential use of ground water is overly generous. Poultry farms take the advantage of this lapse in regulation. Their use of groundwater is not metered and attempts to meter wells have been vetoed by Governor Stitt.
