Save the Illinois River's position on Oklahoma's poultry lawsuit court order by STIR President Paul Rowsey
Save the Illinois River, Inc. believes the Judgment entered by the United States District Court for the Northern District of Oklahoma in State of Oklahoma v. Tyson, et al. represents a win-win for all parties, including the public at-large, our natural resources, our family farmers, and our agricultural industry. The opinion of U.S. District Judge, Gregory Frizzell , is extremely well-reasoned. It is based on findings of fact supported by overwhelming evidence, and the application of applicable statutory and common law. The Court’s remedies are fair and balanced, account for remediating past damage, and responsibly managing industry practices in the future. We hope the parties will expeditiously work together in moving forward in a constructive manner for the benefit of all affected constituents.
