The National Weather Service of Tulsa issued a flood watch for Cherokee County, which is in effect until 7 p.m., Monday, May 26.
“Additional rainfall forecasts of two-four inches through Monday evening continue across the region. This will bring storm total rainfall amounts into the three–six-inch range with isolated amounts around eight inches. The heavy rains have already produced flash flooding and mainstem river flooding,” NWS stated on its website.
