Dear STIR members and STIR friends...
Next Wednesday, September 27, is the final day to comment on the proposed 2015 Waters of the United States (WOTUS) rule. This rule by EPA and the U.S. Army Corps. was abolished by President Donald Trump.
Please comment by Sept. 27. Please say you do not favor abolishing the 2015 WOTUS rule. Say that you support the federal Clean Water Act and wish that it is enforced to the fullest extent.
STIR supports the 2015 rule because we feel it will give added protection to Oklahoma Scenic Rivers and Tenkiller Lake. Those who oppose the rule and want to see a weaker rule adopted by the Pruitt EPA include: The Oklahoma Farm Bureau, the Farm Bureau Federation, Cattlemen’s Association, Pork Producers Association and developers.
