AVEDA SALONS HELP OKLHOMA SCENIC RIVERS

TAHLEQUAH-Thanks to the passion of the Aveda network and its guests, Oklahoma Scenic Rivers and Lake Tenkiller will benefit by greater protection.

Save the Illinois River, Inc. (STIR) is the recipient of contributions from Aveda’s 2017 Earth Month goal of $6.5 million.  STIR, organized by Tahlequah citizens in 1984, believes in a mission to protect and preserve the Illinois River, its tributaries and Tenkiller Lake.  This year STIR will receive more than $1,900 from Aveda Salons and
Day Spas in Oklahoma and Arkansas. “Aveda is a wonderful corporate citizen of America and recognizes the importance of clean, safe water world wide”, said STIR President Denise Deason-Toyne of Tahlequah.  “This year over 42,000 women engaged in working toward clean water for their communities, impacting more than 106,000 people through water infrastructure projects,” she added.

Aveda Salons and Spas contributing to the protection of Oklahoma Scenic Rivers this year include the Marilyn Ihloff group located in Tulsa and Norman, Oklahoma; Eden Group in Oklahoma City; Wilson Salon, Bella Vista, Arkansas; Bodhi Tree Salon, Fayetteville, Arkansas; and Sean and Summer Jones Euphoria Salon, Conway, Arkansas.
